The Samaritans Early Intervention Coordination Team (SEICT) offers a program to support children aged 0-8 with autism, developmental delay and disability, by working with and supporting their families, educators and community members. In this project information, services, support and choices to plan are provided to achieve the best possible outcome for the child and family.


Kaleidoscope - Child and Family Health Team
A community-based service to children aged 2-12 years and their families, covering both developmental and psychosocial issues.  The team includes paediatricians, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and speech pathologists.  Based at the Wallsend Child and Family Centre, the team provides services from a number of outreach facilities in the Hunter, including home and school visits.  Team members work in consultation and collaboration with professional staff from other agencies that may also be working with our client group.

Hunter Medicare Local is able to offer expanded psychological services to children under 12 years old and their families (as well as children aged up to 14 and 11 months where no other service is available to them).  Services are provided under the Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) Initiative and are provided at no cost to families.

Ready Steady Go Kids
Ready Steady Go Kids is Australia's leading pre-school sport and exercise program. Operating since 2004, we currently run classes for toddlers and kids (aged 2.4-6 years) at more than 140 locations nationally. Our physio-designed multi-sport activities teach pre-schoolers the fundamentals of 10 different sports and develop and enhance gross and fine motor skills in a fun, social, non-competitive and supportive environment.

St Vincents de Paul Society NSW Early Links
Supporting families and carers of children diagnosed with a disability or developmental delay.

Early Links can assist children (0-8 years) and their families to:
- recognise and build on indivdual and family strengths
- develop existing support networks to meet the goals of the family and child
-look at ways children with disability can fully participate and be part of community, and plan for the future
- access specialist services throughout the time of diagnosis

Sporty Kids
Sporty Kids has great programs for children aged 2.5 to 5 years old.

Are you looking for an activity for your child, at Sporty Kids we have a program to suit you. Our outdoor, circuit style classes are high in energy and fun, whilst teaching kids the fundamental gross motor skill combined with socialisation with kids their own age.
As we do not require a parent to participate you get to become their biggest supporter, watching them have fun and develop from the sideline, cheering them on.
